Man, it's been YEARS since I drew Grifter from Jim lee's "Wildcats". I think it was back when I was in the Navy, 1995ish. He was such a cool character. Anyway, this has been a commission that has been on the back burner for a couple of months. I took it on because the person allowed me to work on it when I had completed some deadlines and etc.

Aight, enough jibba jabba- :)

Grifta caught up in a moment. Hope he gets outta there in one piece. Someone pointed out I drew 6 fingas on his 'left' hand, hahahahaha, my only defense to that is, "Oh! So that's where Beastboy's finger ran off too. " I accidentally drew only 4 fingers on Beastboy for the cover of Teen Titans Go! issue 26. HAHAHA (sorry BB, we located your finger.)

Hope y'all digs!

Art: Sean "Cheeks" Galloway.

oh, and btw if you are feeling the way I executed this commission, then I think you'll get a kick out of Teen Titans Go! #37. I did the backgrounds in a painterly way with blur galore everywhere, so the figures would pop out. hahaha

I think the hands are quite hard to read. Confused me a bit. And I don't understand what that black square on the hand leaning against the stone is. Otherwise, killer as usual IMO. Love yer pics! How's the hellboy animation coming along btw?

dude.

he has.

6 fingers.

wow.

haha but seriously fix that ASAP, and well the black square on the other hand is a tad bit strange too. the water being grey scaled is also rather strange makes u think hes in cement.

Yea, gotta say, the hands confuse me. The front one has 6 fingers as mentioned, and the back one... well, I wouldnt even know it was a hand except for the fact that I think its connected to the end of the arm.

I like the six fingers, it's kinda like an easter egg ;)

Also, even though I don't get the black square on his hand, it makes for an interesting composition when the eye leaps between the black pieces out of focus and to the hand and belt and so on. Beautiful piece all in all, of course a little depending on what you wanted the picture to communicate.

*edit* ah, of course, the black thingies out of focus are leaves. */edit*

You were in the Navy Sean? I'll be getting out of the Navy in December and I'm eagerly anticipating my return to civilian life. With regards to the Grifter piece, no crits, just an ass pat from me.

I think one of the reasons his left hand doesn't look connected is because hi right thumb does a tangent with the cuff. Besides the hands, looks sweet.

Cool again Sean,

I was wondering- do you remember the show Swat Cats? Ever drawn any of them? :D
