the thighs are what i got carried away with. if you could help me determine where shading should be that would be fantastic.

Well, as for shading you should be able to track down where the shadows are based on the light source - it looks like you have a good handle on it in the upper body. For the lower legs, you could also add reflected lighting off of the floor. As for where to put the shadows, that would be determined by the form (3d shape) of the legs. Block it out with basic shapes if you have to. Also, take time to cleanup the details on the hands and feet - going to need a head too. :)

Honestly I think as is the shading is fine. It will be very dark there due to her arms and body in general. The light source would have trouble reaching there even from the front top as it seems to be... though it might be slightly lighter. I believe the suggestion of floor reflection might help you in this piece. It'll be interesting to see how you do the head/face, this leaves you wondering if she'll be creature, or human. :) great job. nice lettering as well btw.

you have no clearly defined lightsource
the legs have lighting from above
the shoulders from the side

you're right, i ended up getting lazy and just copy and pasting the legs, the one on the right is the one i actually copied from reference..i ended up deleted the reference but i could mimic it again to work the lighting.
actually, if you look at the picture and my avatar...the avatar is more or less where the light source was.
this also means the wings are wrong... DAMNIT!

I don't have any critiques on the drawing, but I am wondering if you used reference for the underbust corset? My girlfriend owns a couple ones so I know pretty well what they look like. An underbust corset begins just under the breasts and extends down to the hips. The lacing is normally on the back (because the skin folds where you tighten it). You probably won't draw the lace if you turn the corset around, but to be correct, the lace should be tightened to have a 2 cm gap and it should tied to a bow on the middle.

this isn't an underbust corset, it's a waist cincher and i did use a reference.

I really enjoy the expression on this.. it needs some more contrast naturally, the waist cincher reminds me of bloodrayne's outfit a little.
