i put this here because it takes SO long to load the guest sp page on my retarded internet connection. anyway, i woke up at 6 this morning after a long long 2 days and decided to paint something, so here you go. 16x24 oil on canvas

two hours? damn fast.. I think that is a lot to learn from you about oils painting technique :D

two hours....blody hell, pardon my english....

you are seriuosly one of the most interesting posters on the forum. it takes me two hours just to lay down a half decent base colour, and then I spend way to much time on details that end up detracting from the pice.

do you work from a fixed coluor pallete, or do you improvise on the along the way? what really bugs me, is when to use a colour like your ligth green, it ads so much to the image...

when are you going to post an orc, some scifi, or some bg?

Well, when you go to the academy in sf you can do this well in two hours. Hey, daarken how about a w.i.p next time. I think a lot of us would learn from your stuff.

God this is so cool...
What are all the patches though? They look awesome, im just wondering what they are.
Great work man, I always look forward to your next piece..dont stop posting em!!!

PS - i bet you get alot of chicks with that vibrant tongue of yours =P

amphex: the patches are just spare canvas pieces i put on with matte medium. haha, i wish i got a lot of chicks...no one loves me ;____;

You need to stop making that face at chicks and you'll get some :cool:

j/k.... brilliant painting, Daarken. Being able to splash something like this together in two hours is truly impressive. Great color choices.

You should have said it was paint, and you were trying to create an effect That would really have impressed people :p
