I've been a lurker for quite awhile now and have noticed that there are very few images that are from the side/top/front/back views or character turn-arounds. I realize these aren't as interesting to look at compaired to a finished piece but it strikes me as kind of odd that at a concept art site there wouldn't be a little more of images like that.
As I'm more interested in 3d I enjoy the challenge of working with someone elses ideas and moving the design process another step forward. I think it would be nice if there was a collection of peoples orthographic sketches and designs in the reference forum or in the 3d/sculpting forum, to allow others to branch out and attempt to model things they would never do on their own.
If anyone knows of a collection of orthos I'd very much like to see them, or if you have any designs I could practice with that would be awesome. For this to work, or having a thread based on orthos, it assumes that people would still give credit to the original designer and I think it would benefit both parties involved.
