hi folks!
im pretty sure theres already something like this but unfortunately the search option isnt working and i couldnt find anything about in the forums.
i had to work on some storyboards in the last weeks and it seems like i will get more commissions. BUT, im completely new into this genre, and its very hard to find any usefull information about. i dont expect any miracle but maybe some of you have some tipps for books of storyboard masters or maybe links to usefull websites?
well...i hope we can put some infos together for all the storyboard addicted around here.
thanks and byebye,
dario

...for some simple templates.
I've only ever done one storyboard (for an epic musicvideo), but i basically apporached it the same way i do comics. Just...sketchier and with added notation of camera movements.
...check out Grant Morrison and Frank Quietely's comic "We3"....Morrison's later comics tend to be very cinematic.

Watch a lot of films, get good at drawing quickly and expressively. Pay attention to composition, depth of field. Hans Bacher (http://its-a-wrap.blogspot.com/) has amazing compositions (scroll down past the cartoons and photographs and you'll get some amazing things).
The depressing thing about throwing yourself into storyboarding and film composition is that when you go to see whatever awesome new film at the theater, it (mostly) ends up looking like crap.... the same few boring compositions reused throughout the whole thing.
Miyazaki has published the complete storyboards for all his movies in various volumes... find those if you can.

There's a sticky on CGTalk that has more links to various storyboard sites and artists that do professional storyboard work.
