-Usually, when I get off of work,
I'm somewhat braindead.. But I had my gear and while at coffee, I killed some time for the following. Studies made at Starbucks..

I like these, you sketch on a laptop, smart! It's a good way to fool people to thinking you're not sketching them. I like how you structure the figure.

-Yes, it works just as well as a sketchbook in some ways, and I have more at my disposal than just a pencil, I have all the color and ink I need:)! I like that part.

these were added today,
and I think one subject understood, and maybe another kept wondering why my eyes were so shifty.. A few others watched again behind me in the window, giving the thumbs up as they watched.. All in all pretty funny.. Some are just blown away that it's possible to do this kind of thing on a laptop.. But the technology and the method are there..

Nice sketches. What stuff do you use to do your sketches?
Have you got a Wacom tablet connected to your Laptop?

Thanks again:)

-Specifically, what I use is a PowerBook G3/400 with a 20GB HD, 512MB, Running OS X Jag *with classic emulator running Painter 6.1. -I attach a Wacom 6x8 tablet to that. I use this both on the go as a moblie drawing tool, and at home as a desktop, with 20"inch monitor, CD burner (Que), Keyboard, printer, and any thing else connectable by USB and firewire... :D

I also Employ a crusty-ass G3/233 with a 13 GIG drive, 256mb, Epson Perfection scanner *and wacom ADB Intuous along with it, also running OS 9.2.2 and OSX Jag. Same apps.

-Combined, I can do just about all that I think I need to do. However, If I had a phat stack of CASH (i.e. getting more in the way of some good illo work), I'd be apt to replace current system with a G4 in a second. 1Gig chip with 1 gigMB. would do nice I should think.. :D Either that or again, a new 17" PowerBook would be the SHIzLow!
