I believe if you look on the Wacom website you can get a refusbished graphics tablet - the work done by them, for a lesser cost than buying them "new" - which means you can get a larger Wacom for the price of a smaller one. I was going to do it, but saw a special offer on amazon :D

This is the one I got, I was worried about it being small, but I borrowed one from a friend & I find this to be the perfect size as it doesnt take up too much room on my desk, easily portable and I think i'd be a bit lost on a huge one :)

here's a really good value one :) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wacom-Volito-Tablet-Windows-only/dp/B0009H7XAY/sr=8-1/qid=1158577916/ref=pd_ka_1/202-1419069-4417441?ie=UTF8&s=gateway

good luck :)

PS If you are getting a tablet its worth spending a little more :) I personally wouldnt go for a Trust. My friends have had them and have got kaput after 6 months!

I picked up the Wacom Intuos 3 6x8 tablet.... Great tablet... great size.. its a little under $300 bucks , Definatly recommend it. I haven't tried any of the others so I don't know the difference. But this one is amazing.

My Trust tablet has not gone "kaput" yet. But who knows?

I have a Wacom 12 X 9. I actually never used a tablet before buying it either. Just thought it sounded like a good idea.

Looking back, i dont know how I did with-out it.

Also if your going to be doing work in 3d modeling or any vector based Illustrator type applications they wont let you down.

I just got a steal from Ebay. Used Intuos2 6X8 for $81.00. I wouldnt go Graphire if you are taking this seriously. Yes they are cheaper but cheaper for a reason. Go Intuos. Consider Ebay first if you can wait for it.

I agree about the 6x8 Int3. I just got mine about 2 weeks ago and it's great. :rendered:

Just got myself the 6 x 11 widescreen from amazon, 330 bucks plus taxes. Free shipping, I got it after about a week. Worth every penny.

Funny, friend of mine had a Trust for over two years. spilled coffee on it, fell to the ground twice a week... He got himself a new tablet after two years because it started to get "outdated" and he got a good deal...
