argh >_< quickly read it before doing my daily business then sketched it so I reversed the giant eyes from the raven-beast with the tuna-man
( so now the tuna-man is the giant eyed one.)

Done real quickly before my shift. Got another idea that I'll do later afterwards ;D.

Knight Vision: I like it, that tuna man is really in danger...

LadyHydralisk: another good work from you, I like the tuna man, he looks really scary...

Illustrange: I love the Raven's and the tuna-man, except for his hands. they look strange...

Mehz: I love it, I love it, I love it. the man with the tuna is getting attacked by ravens...

Burrito: I LOVE IT! it's my favorite so far on this thread, really great work!

time for my sketch: the stranded tuna-man is lying on a peice of wood, and a strange raven species finds him there. it starts to investigate the tuna-body and finds out it needs water to survive, how to save the tuna-man?

PS: I'll update this post later with a color-version of this one, I'm going to make it right now!

UPDATE: DONE! I did it in color this time. I know it doesn't look liek a beach and there are crucial mistakes, but I'm still getting the hang of photoshop...

Goran: I LOOOOVE the raven, it really rocks...

paragloom: I watched it, and I liked it:P nice work paragloom, you're not making an actual raven, but you're taking it to the fantasy world with the cool new raven species with one eye, haha. I really liekd it, you're doing something different from the rest, and I like that, I'm doing it all the time with my drawings and skateboarding...

Lady Hydralisk- nice composition and pose of this guy

Illustrange- cool drawn ravens
the BG is maybe too flat and a bit too simple

Mehz- your quick sketch looks cool. I very like this dynamic scene and your interpretation of the topic

burrito- yeah, very nice pict
I especially like the dead face, cool linework and colours

ramonsk8 like the dynamic of a scene

Goran- I think that the white border around the guy doesn't work well

Something is affecting the navigation of the Tuna men, causing them to beach. They make a great feast for scavengers, but many of them scurry when a Corvutaur arrives.

burrito - Great job! A fun pic to look at. I love both the creatures... Great job making the crazy eye and the innards, specifically. The best answer to this topic. Nice sig., too. ;)

goran - Cool raven... I think the tuna-man would be better if you used some perspective and really popped the tail forward by making it larger on the page, and maybe it could be a little more thoughtfully positioned. As it is, it looks like you sorta crammed the tail in instead of lengthening the canvas. :teeth:

hi everybody,

I'm back after the quantum-tiger-disaster, couldn't come up with something nice.
PS, 30 min

critiques:

Knight Vision - to me, the blurred background appears too early
Lady Hydralisk - like the ravenmonster
Illustrange - very cool ravenmonsters
Mehz - like the idea a lot, funny approach
ramonsk - I'll wait for the color sketch
paragloom - good monster, welcome aboard
goran - like the membranes between tunaman's fingers
Aga - like the raven and the tunaman's remains
Hamsta - the guy looks like he's upside down, but the monster is fine, although I'm not sure about the human legs - maybe it's just me...

A bit late, but I gotta get myself sketching more... I probably should've thought it through more thoroughly, as it's tough to tell the "man" part of the tuna man, but at least I did Something, and that's the point of the Daily Sketch Group, after all, isn't it?

Pencil on sketchpad paper, time unknown.

Winstar, that is a really scary (and imaginative) creature.

Lots of awesome pics in this one...what a wonderfully horrible topic. I went to subway tonight, for dinner. The special was tuna. I passed.

demdike I feel like this could have been more, with more contrast, and a little more attention to details. Good start though.

Winstar - tuna-man seems to stick out of the beasts body, not the mouth.
Brightdreamer - good sketch, maybe needs some more focus, a center.
also, the hand looks bend too far towards the viewer
Crustacean - very good! love the rough brushwork
Hamsta - you're right, but everytime I tried to add more detail,
it didn't fit the rest of the picture, so I stuck to the flat look of it.
Since I wanted the moon to shine overly bright, I left the
everything else very dull and lowkey...

Thanx for the comments. As I said, I really should've thought the whole thing through more... I basically got sick of thumbnailing and just went for a sketch. So... work on creating a "focus" and general anatomy. Check.

William you are right about the tail .Good catch.
I was carry on by the weight of the tuna man
and of course I totally forgot the tail.
Aga the white around the tuna man was result of the
speeding. Thanks
