Pricing Question - COMICS

I was recently approached by a comic book company to design a character and do some pinups for their inaugural graphic novel. I have no idea what the going rate is for this kind of stuff. They want a quote pretty soon, so PLEASE, if you have any idea, let me know.

I don't know if there are a lot of comic fans on this board, but you may want to try www.penciljack.com and ask there. I'm sure someone would know. The whole site is dedicated to comics. A few pros post there.
