Hi! Well, I'm new here, obviously, and I thought I'd ask for some help with this latest piece of mine. I'm pretty much stuck with what to do next and I'm worried about the contrast between the colors and possibly proportions. Please let me know if there's anything I can improve on!

The big pinkish blob is eventually going to become a fan and the background is most likely going to become curtains of some sort.

Thanks! :)

I'm not sure but it looks like her head is supporting the curtain behind her. I could be wrong. Other than that keep going, I look forward seeing it finished.

Actually, at the moment, it is being supported by her head. I'm considering changing it though, so it's part of the background. Just see if it looks better that way.

Thanks!

Aside from a few things, it's looks fantastic. I love it.

The head dress is a little unfinished compared to the sharpness of the face.
The background is swallowing up her lower half a little. Maybe some punched up highlights to seperate her..if it's appropiate in what you are going for lighting-wise. Yeah,a little more contrast down there.

Her right shoulder looks a little..wooden dollish..(what the f..?). I mean, it's too striaght and unnatural looking. I also think her left forearm is shorter than her right.

Her torso, where her breast meets her rib cage seem to be merged into one rounded contour that stops way too high. Need to explore that a little.

That' all I got, love the detail in the trim and her face, really nice!

The head is definitly the best part. I really like the mask/hat :) but her body has some anatomy issues I think. Especially her shoulders.

Remember that the clavicle is supposed to be attached to the scapula.. and it aint it's nothing like a straight metal pipe: http://www.victoriacollege.edu/dept/bio/Pig/HumanSkeleton/webpages/clavicle2.jpg

Good job overall. But like Scorned said, I'm a little confused with the background.

I love the face but as has been brought up, the shoulders are off. It looks to me like either her left shoulder should be receeding or her head should be shifted to her left and centered between the shoulders.

Again, love the face looking forward to seeing it progress.

Thanks everyone for the crits! I took them all into account and made the changes (which are very rough right now). Hopefully she looks better now, at least, anatomy wise. I also changed the orientation of the fan, hopefully that looks better too. Let me know if there's anything I can fix up!

Thanks again!
