awesome, i love the step by step illustrations here. it definently shows the progress you made. i really love the tentacles on his head, i like their shading and lighting. they help give the piece depth too. the end result is great. good choice in color. i do have one thing to say though. the first "brown-green" sketch here has his cheek nicely developed, but the next sketch shows it a bit choppy. same goes for its breast. any reasoning for that? great job nonetheless.

A good example how to destroy a beautyful lose sketch by coloring it in this way...

Your sketch is great, dynamic and lose. I think the rendered version is much worse than the sketch. Also i have the feeling that the creature's anatomy changed in this progress...

Thanks guys for the input. I never noticed the loss of detail and losseness until y'all pointed it out. I guess that's what happens when you get too caught up in trying to render it (my friend warned me of that). Anyways, it's back to the drawing tablet. Ahhhh, se la vi.... I'll post some new samples sometime in the next few days.

the sketch looks more insect-like than the final version to me...but otherwise it's good:)
