Ok first of all:
I never used photoshop for serious painting ever, this was my second try togheter with my... Wacom board *giggles*.. well its a cheap Trust board :perv: , but, its a start right?
Tried to find how to paint with such things, but got too lazy to find any further, so bla, tried somethings out.
First shot is too horrible to show, so this is my second attempt :) it isnt finished yet, but I am too proud of myself and wanted your guys opinion.
Normally I am an traditional artist who cant get to make realistic paintings.
But think I kinda start to like this.. new technolegy to paint.

So I used a reference for this, without scanning, just started to get the basic shapes and cary on, started with the darkest skincolour and worked my self up.
I dont know if that s the right technique for digital painting, I hope to learn more and learn the best ways to paint and eventually paint the things out of my head.. (althoug that seems very difficult)
So hard critics and ugly comments are very welcome!

greetings

for a 2nd attempt is realy neat.
you have issues with the perspective - try to draw th eother eye and you will see - lips axis and eye axis don;t match.
if you used ref - then... i fear proportions are off too - eye too big.. nose too long... etc...
as for th eskin tones - they are nicely done - a bit saturated imo and .. to quote Jason - you have no green in there. look for the green on the skin tone.
anyway - i think you should try to fix the forms, and then the values (make it B&W - CTRL+SHIFT+U and see your values... and.. keep posting.
