alright im gonna try and become a more active user on this site because i have used it before and kinda loose interest in it, im here for some self improvement through critiques of my work. Im attending my second year in the college for creative studies in detroit.

these first "sketchs/unfinished stuff i might go back and finish" are my first digital paintings and im learning a lot in between each one. i just started digital painting a couple of days ago so these are my attemps at it... take a look and let me know what you think : )

justadoodle, I am really digging the skull studies! They have a loose energy that is somehow absent from the digitally painted pieces...it could be the media. I'd like to see more of your tradish work.

you need some more details is there

i would make a new layer ABOVE your sketch and start painting.

place an arrow where the light is coming from and be consistent. Think in planes, think about soft and hard edges. Think about reflection light. Be subtle with highlights (if you put them everywhere it loses the effect).

intrsting things in here, i like the two skull studies. Keep 'em coming

Hey, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook! I dig your overall style and agree with the others about your skull studies. Especially the first one with the blue ink and opaque white, really made it pop. Keep doing anatomy studies with that loose paint technique, I think you found something there. And keep on truckin!

alright here are some of my skull studies im doing for anatomy, some of the porportion is slightly off on the frontal skulls but im really just drawing them to understand what bones are what because i need them memorized for a quiz tommorow...

i dont have a scanner till tommorow so i figured i would post an older piece i did at the end of my 1st year in college (self-portrait)

alright here are a few pieces i just finished for my illustration class done in ink pen and watercolor. the project was to redesign the mtv logo but that was beyond boring for me so i decided to make an entire scene for the logo to sit in. any helpful comments and critique are greatly appreciated.

Note: the scanner wasnt very good for watercolor images so the contrast and colors are pretty off...
