Finally worked on this some more... I'm recycling the thread to save space by updating and bumping. Still need to tweak the water levels.
Suggestions?

the water level ( green ) doesnt match up with the water level in the middle of the "hall" in certain parts, towards the BG especially

maybe try making the color more towards violet so its not so drastic a change as it goes under water?
