Hey all - I hope this topic hasn't been covered yet, if so I apologize. I have been working on an image primarily in painter and occasionally bringing it into photoshop for minor color adjustments. My image is 300ppi and 3000px across (letterbox format). I am saving out as a psd out of Painter to make it easier to transfer between programs. I have found that at some point during my workflow the image becomes heavily banded as if it was compressed or something. I am losing a lot of color information somewhere along the line. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? I threw a couple super close up images below to illustrate whats going on. This is the exact same area right after painting it and then after working on other areas for a while, taking it into photoshop and then back into painter.

Hi,

Your images aren't displaying but I wonder.....

Have you installed the Painter IX 9.1 Update and the Painter IX.5 Update?

As I recall, there was a color problem with Painter IX when moving PSD files to Photoshop and it was solved with one of the two Updates.

i know the banding occurs quite frequently for me when i do any transformations such as scale or rotate in painter
i try to do that in PS to avoid it
hope this helps
