something me and my brother did for a project(half life 2) we are working on with others from the community. I won't give much information about the project because it's still WIP, but basicly it's a dark game with blood, stalking and 1800 london-esque envoriment.

fear no more davi! A guy with broadband spent the less than a second download time to check these two mp3's out.
They get across a really gloomy feel (which'll put a lot of mood into your project, is it a mod?), and give you a un-settling feeling.
And when you mention 1800 london-esque, i see either one of two things... Vampires or Jack the Ripper stuff, in London's dark narrow alleys, SWEET. (ok im just making blind conjecture!)
neways' post more info on your project down the line, it'll be great to see some hl2 stuff done by a CA.org member!

wow dud... i know jackass about music, but those samples are grand... remember that lil' movie in "the ring" ? the killer movie, it have this great background sound too, and your stuff reminds me of it.

i love this whole "turn of the century" mood, looking foward for thy project.

fell is right, there is a great moody feel to both of those pieces. I feel they should be part of the hl2 soundtrack. Are you working on a full fledged mod? or just a map or something? I can't wait to see more info on the project. (site maybe?) Sounds like it's going to be very unique ;)
