Looks like a decent start matee. So far, there are certain parts of her face that look a little off. Check your reference and try to see what these discrepencies are, and then fix them (looking and fixing for yourself is one of the best things to develop as an artist IMO, as it really helped me along)

It also lacks contrast. Try getting some real darks in there.

Lyra seems to be a very popular character, lately.

From what I can tell though, alot of her personality is in her travels and environment. So I think it's hard to really get the feeling of that character through just a portrait.. Why not toss on some clothing or something? :)
