Some sketches I did recently...I haven't been doing much conceptual art because I can't even do a self portrait well at this point...but I have to try every once in a while hehe.

The top guy is just a doodle really.

The last two (in my mind) were linked. The creature guy is a soldier from an army and the medic drone that they have created to bandage everyone up and inject them...etc...on the field is the second sketch. Hope that made sense I am tired hehe...

I like the dude with the two heads. I think you should expand on that idea.

Thanks LostDragon...I think I will expand on that...you have any ideas you want me to incorporate?

Maybe.... they each have a differnet task to complete, but have troubles doing it cuz of the one body. Or the opposite, they are really compatible, and while one reads up on something the other is making it. That'd be kinda cool i think. One gives the instructions, while one is concentrating on building. They look like intelligent working bots.

I definetely see you improving mcm. Keeeeeeep! it goin! :D

The neat thing about art is that you can communicate a theme (or many themes) visually. A an example, I showed a coworker a picture I found on this forum (Icharus Fish) and we had an extended conversation about the meanings it might have had. Our interpretations ranged from "technology is the fall of religion" to "we desire what we cannot have". We talked about it for well over an hour.

Anyway, as I look at your two-headed figure, I wonder what you might be trying to communicate. Yes, perhaps it was a random creation - but what if you made it more? What specific signifiers could you put into your image that would make that figure say something without using any words?

What do we think of here? We see two heads, but why? Do they signify indecision? Are they like the theatrical masks of good and evil? Could they be a body and its soul?

You don't have to answer any of these questions of course - and you probably shouldn't. The fun for the audience is to extract meaning out of your work. The more you load into it, the more they'll want to look at it.

I would like for you to think about what your two-headed creation means to you and then draw it in a way that communicates that meaning to me. That is what art is really about (IMO). :)

I think the masked character on top looks very interesting. Some inca influences there perhaps. Maybe you could develop him little further.

rhomb - Yeah I will go back and revisit that idea and maybe throw in some inca flare to him as well. I love your demon sketches btw...very imaginative.

Lost Dragon - That's an interesting point you bring up. It's good to always think about what you want to communicate while you are creating something. The drawing will have more of a history too it if I do what you are saying. Thanks man.

foster - Thanks man hehe.

iwasink - Yeah I was thinking they would be working together but it would be kind of cool to give it a more primitive type of programming...like it was programmed poorly so it's always conflicted between the two heads...I like that! Hey thanks man I really appreciate it. You are tearing it up yourself!

I am gonna work on these this weekend (after I get some different references) and I will update this thread.
