View Full Version : Serious Manga artist needed--Publisher interest

I'm seeking a serious and reliable manga artist to draw a 20-page Miyazaki-flavored, graphic novel proposal. A major book publisher has already expressed interest in the basic concept, but no decisions can be made until the pages are illustrated and submitted.

If necessary, I will also submit to all of the largest domestic manga publishers, as well as more conventional comics publishers, and the book market.

For those who want to break into comics/manga, this is a fantastic opportunity to do something more than just work-for-hire, or a string of meaningless commissions.

NOTE: I'm incredibly easy to work with and will do everything possible to help my artistic collaborators succeed, but I'm a published writer, and I'm not interested in wasting time and accomplishing nothing. I need someone committed to drawing and finishing sequential art (comics pages), not just doing one or two character sketches over a 3-month period and then pissing off to some dead-end graphic artist assignment.

To get published, your work has to stand up to the work you see on bookstore shelves, and you have to put in just as much effort as the pros. So if you're not sure you can do this, please don't waste our time. If you can't focus and finish the job, don't bother.

Otherwise, I look forward to hearing from any and all talented and committed artists.
