View Full Version : UPDATED colored Quake 1 Shambler and mech/robot

As for the shambler I originally wanted to do something more realistic fur-wise, but this took me long enough so I consider it a sketch as you can see.. it should've been hulkier.. I colored this in Photoshop

This robot/mech started out with some potential but I'm not too happy with it. Either way it wasnt for me but for a friend of mine.

they look pretty good. i really like the rendering on the claws. the claws are the most 3-dimensional looking thing in either image, i think partly because of the decent shading/lineweight, partly because it's the only place where there are parts behind other parts.
you do what i'm bad for, only drawing straight on shots (or perfect profile), no angles shots. that way i don't have to think too much about perspective and forshortening. :lol: i just conciously realized i do that yesterday. so from now on i'm going to try to avoid the profile and head on shots. it's definately more challenging. keep posting! :)

I rather like the Shambler. The coloring on it is nice, especially the touches of blood. A suggestion I'd have is for the teeth, to make them thinner, thus sharper looking, thus a greater appearance of viciousness.
