Okay so, tomorro, I'm getting the tour of Cal Arts for Character animation. What should I expect. My father suggested that I should bring my portfolio, but I'm really quite shy. I also don't have much of a portfolio.... soooo what should I expect??

Bring your portfolio, even if you have next to nothing. BRING YOUR SKETCHBOOK TOO! I met with the head of the character animation department when I toured back in '98 (Larry Coleman, I think) and showed him my 'folio. He gave me EXCELLENT feedback on where I needed to improve and showed me the portfolios of people who had been accepted. Priceless experience.

This will be an invaluable practice run for you to show off your work. It will help you immensely when it comes time to submit your final works for admission.

Expect to walk around a lot and answer questions about what you want to do with your art. But expect to ASK QUESTIONS! Don't be shy or afraid, the more you put into this, the more you will get out of it.

...did I mention to BRING YOUR PORTFOLIO? ;)

Good luck, keep us posted!

Now I need to spend the remainder of my night doing something that looks like I've been doing more than I should. DX<
Okay!
Thank you so much.
