Alright, im writing a b&w comic book for art, and i intend for it only to have about 5 characters, meaing im going to have to do a great deal of character intensity, meaning im gonna have to cover every facet of their development and appearence, facial expressions, movement etc., its set in a fictional time period, thousands of years ago blah blah blah. haha. The way I intend to handle their appearences is kinda feudal asian, native america, european. I intend to post some of my sketches, but the question is...does anyone have any good references i can study on any of this? the culture and apparel of these races? i can post an outline of the story if you want...but all help is appreciated.

there are some examples of asian paintings... of course i prefer the simplistic look of it...
