I will probably going to be crucified for this one...
It is really disappointing how many replays people r leaving after you post your art stuff here (considering the number of visitors). I mean maybe my stuff is crap so people don’t even bother but even if you hate it or love it … R they shy ?
Sometimes I wonder and asking myself why I even bother posting anything.
Do you have same experience or is it just me?
Any comments?

generally if i have nothing constructive to say, i won't reply. usually the only time i'll post just a compliment is when someone absolutely floors me, or when i notice good work has been viewed many many times with no comments from anyone. I'll also usually try to post replies to people who have taken time out of their day to post about my shoddy work, and i try to say something about the work of people i am getting to know. :)
The reason I don't usually post just a compliment is because i believe that every piece has room for improvement, i just may not have the technical knowledge to see where. :)
That said, when I do post, i usually try to add a solid compliment along with the critique. there is _always_ something good about someone's artwork.

not all people browse the forum in the manner you browse the forum. alot of people just browse just to see the art and want to scoot off.

yeah, davi's right, sometimes I just browse and when I see a pic, I don't write "nice." because two people already did.
In times of spammer-hunting it's better to say nothing than just "nice." or "cool.".
I hope you understand what I mean :)

what would have been really funny is, if nobody had replied to this post :)
no, but seriously. I try to crit as much as I can, but I do not reply to pics that belong in a different forum (sketches in the finally finished forum for instance) and like adien if I don't have anything constructive to say I won't say anything at all.
If I can help, I will and also if something is great, I'll let the artist know.

usually i dont reply much to any posts, except to critiques on my own posts or to my friend's posts...WAIT! its not that i am being self centered or anything, its just that i dont think i am actually good enough to give my own views because i dont know if i am wrong, i dont want to be a fool by acting like i am good(this is only targetted towards myself)...and i also dont want to say the wrong things and upset anyone...
sometimes i really want to talk about a post, but often i shut myself up....
thats just me. one day, i hope i'll be good enough to offer my own views on posts...
