Ok, here's the deal:
I want to turn spacing off, as sometimes the fluctuation of the seperate dots stops being a line and starts being seperate dots.... I just want a nice solid line. Problem is, when I turn it off, it just gets worse, and I get a dot every centimeter.
Any help is appreciated, this is really annoying.

You don't want to turn it off, you want to turn it down. Move the slider to the left.

But then with the opacity jitter for the pen set all the way up, the dots return...

Well, you don't want opacity jitter. That means the opacity will fluctuate by pen pressure or however it's setup. You really want the jitter set to 0% and the opacity and/or flow set to pen pressure.
This may not help but here's a link to create a nice drawing brush. (LINK (http://www.nibbledpencil.com/ficha.php?id=378))
And you can grab my brushes from my sketchbook thread. I created a couple new ones this weekend which I really like but haven't updated the link yet. I only have PhotoShop CS so I don't know if they will work in any other version.

Ah, ok then. I just wanted to fool around with how much the opacity changes based on pen pressure, but... erm.... lost where I was going with think.
Thanks for the link though :)
