Wow! I really like both of these pieces.
I love the style. There is a great quality to the fairy very emotive. You captured the essence of this piece without puting a lot of detail in it.
There is a great softness to the second piece.
You prove that less is more through both of these!
Nice job! Post more.:D

Wow. These evoke a really gut-level, emotional reaction. The first is like a faerie done by Francis Bacon! The second has some nasal anatomy issues, but the eyes are haunting.
Exceptional work!

atomick> yea i see what you mean about the nose. i did change it a lot from the original model. still, i should have drawn in some of the septum at least.

love the 2nd one, really nice to see you expressed the sadness of the woman (and this with so few lines)

danielh68> it's actually pretty small. like 15x20" or something. anything larger would not have been ideal as it was done with palette knife only.
