hi this is a concept art that i did for my world design project.
it is called a talmas. it is an animal that lives in the swamp.
next i will do an illustration for this creature. but i would like to know if there's any more bodily features that i can add.
i tried to put some horns, but it ended up looking like some demon, which is not wat i want. i just want to make it more animal. any critique and ideas will be welcome.
thank you in advance:)

A swamp creature? okay...how about more ridges on its back or more pronounced ridges if not just more in general? Also, it's hind quarters are reminscent of a gator or croc, why not borrow some ideas from those creatures and add them to that end of your design. It may add some solidity to the overall feel. Is it fur covered? Your rendering gives the impression of hair.

note:anyone wif a red cross just right click n show picture. it'll show.
anyways, the piece looks good. but you might want to give more design details of your creature. you might want to take away the legs and make it more sluggish or make it more streamlined, like a crocodile. but that may clash with what you originally had in mind.

Looks really cool. Kind of reminds me of a Giant Sloth. More of a plains creature. Maybe if you did the ridge thing that Teyon suggested and also maybe rerender the black parts to look more like hard skin (Like on the Rancor from starwars) instead of having it look like fur.
Great work man. Keep it up.

now i think i am gonna add some pieces of hard crocodile scales and ridges along the middle of its body to the tail, with fur still sticking out between the pieces.
thankx again for suggestions and comments:D

Why not give it a nose. The whole concept looks a bit like a rat (or atleast as some kind of a mutadet rodent) so a ratlike
nose whould give the face more character.
Otherwise it's really cool, wouldn't wanna meet that in dark alley (or any other place)
