*first, my thanks to Red Rook. who gave me the courage to start this sketchbook.

Intro: well first of my name is zach(a.k.a. CJ/Bob). i am only 13(14 january 20th). and i have no "art skill" what so ever. but i hope to improve with A LOT of help from you people at CA. i have been "doodling" all my life and never really took art seriously. until i came upon CA.org :yayca: and saw what kind of talent people have, that i could have someday. i need lots of C&C/other help to further my knowledge and skill. so, pile it on me.

Equipment:
-hp scanjet 4850(8/11/06)
-0.7 mm mechanical pencil(blue)
-printer paper(until i get a decent-sized sketchbook) :rolleyes:

-for my first sketch. i decided to do a classic nintendo entertainment character, pikachu. used a ref which makes this sketch even more horrible.

but, i do have one question. i just got my scanner today and as you can see there is like a faint black bar done the middle of the image. does anyone know what could be causing this?

*sorry its so big. ive never posted an image on CA. so i didnt know how big it would actually come up on CA compared to on my computer, but now i know.
