Hi. this is my first thread here event though i have been a member for about a month. My name is Kristoffer, i'm 17 years old, and i love to draw. I've been drawing for 2-3 months now, and i want some advice on what to do (and not to do).
Right now im practising drawing women, and im going to practice men later.

Here is a new update, and again i would really like some feedback.
Here goes. I used some time on the angel, i didn't really get the wings to work i think, also used some time on the feet. the face is really a sketch i did when i got bored, so i didnt put too much effort in it. I would also really like some comments on how i might put shadow on my drawings, i didn't feel like i got it completely right.
Thanx for the reply by the way.

I’d recommend studying anatomy.
These two books should help you in many aspects.

I like the highlights, but they could be used more. It just barely brings the figure out of the paper.
Have you gone through other sketcbooks here? Look at what others are doing with their female figure studies.

Life drawing and gesture drawing is the answer to most your troubles i think. Try searching ca for it. There's gesture in everything btw. Gesture and rhythm, search for those on the web and on conceptart. Then start to practice :)
Try to go to a life drawing class if you can.

Ps: I would really like comments.
Three of the pics are some drawings i did awhile ago, the woman with the sword and the one with the camera is the new ones.

I think that last one looks pretty good. As John said: Gesture and rhythm. Practice making your hand move more fluently while drawing. Dynamic lines bring life.

Been gone for quite a while now, been busy with school and other things. I've had little time to draw, but now im gonna draw alot more.
The woman facing me is a work in progress, but i have some problems with her body, i can't get it right, so i need some help with that one.
The portrait, or at least half of it, is a test to see the difference between with details and shadow, and without. I need some pointers on the shadowing and how to make it look more realistic. That goes for all the drawings actually. This drawing is the first drawing i've done with a mechanical pencil, that is thanks to Marko Djurdjevics dvd, he has awesome art by the way.
Im pretty happy with the woman with her back towards us, but i have a little trouble drawing her arms in perspective, so again any help is thankful.
Without further ado, here is my latest upload
