Going for a more updated look - more like stylish super heroes and less like comic relief.

That's really cool. I too would love to see more of your work posted, or if you have a website that would be great too.

I really like this piece - theres some real depth there. I also like how you've got them holding hands. One thing I would change would be to have the hands on their hips.. have the fingers along their hip instead of a fist. Theres something about the way you did it that is picking at my head but I can't really explain... seems like their hands are simply hovering there.. I see contact with hand to hip, but.. theres something off about it and I see similiar problems in pieces that do the fist on hip thing..
Not sure, it's what I see - maybe others do/dont. Great work though!

Holy crap! You took the lamest characters ever and made them cool. Very nice redesign. Different yet still recognizable. Nice spin on Gleek as well.

Thanks guys. I made some changes to the image based on some feedback.
Jason Manley: I don't really have much on the web right now but I hope to sometime soon. You can check out some of my Red Faction 2 models and concepts here [I've posted this before]: http://www.volitionx.com/users/joshn/concept/page_01.htm
behemot5: Interesting, I never thought my style would be compared to Boris and Julie Bell, but I guess I see similarities in this piece - especially in the spooky background.
michael see: Yeah, I redesigned the "droid" AKA Gleek. The original was a chimp in underwear and a cape.

Very NICE pic!
Love the colours used in this one. Dunno if it's me but his head looks a tad too small.
The monkey, for some reason, reminds me of the bot in Red Planet.

OK, I want to go on record saying that this is a wonderful piece. The colors are awesome and models are superb.
BUT THE WONDER TWINS AS THE SUBJECT!?! May lots and lots of huge rocks from space land on their heads. BIG ROCKS WITH POINTY EDGES! :evilbat:
And may those rocks be the equivilent on soap stone to absorb MR. BUCKET OF WATER THERE!!! Them and the Osmonds.
(Sorry. I never liked the wonder twins. Good work though).

the only things i see that puzzle me are (as someone else stated) the fist-hip combo. ick.
the second thing, and probably most major, her leg. it's long. the one in front. her hip doesn't show the tilt i would expect from a leg being forward and the weight being shifted to the back leg.
*shrugs*
i'm not an expert by far. still developing myself as an artist. not even to the level most of you are at, but i thought i'd just jump in here since there doesn't seem to be a sign on the door telling me to get out.
heh.. thanks for the nice colors though. cool stuff.
