EyedropperI Selects Background Colour

My eyedropper selects a background colour. When I 'Alt' + 'Click' it selects my foreground colour. Its was the other way around last time I used it, how can I change it back?

I have read that pressing 'x' is meant to fix it but that just flips the backgound and foreground colours over. This is in photoshop CS2 btw.

go into PS and hit F6 that will (should) open your color pallet, click on the foreground box so that it has a black outline around it, the eyedrop tool will now select colors to the foreground.
