Well, what can I say, the 2 have a long history together. I'm more and more finding myself dismayed by the direction of U.S. policy and was starting to get despondent whenever I thought about politics. I never understood how I could use art to make a difference in people's lives, but out of desperation to do something I finally sat down the other day and painted a picture that inspired a bit more from me.

Why impeach Bush?
Didn't he post his reasons on the website?
Chingwa, is it possible to make the font color lighter? I find them somewhat hard to read right now...

Conscience frog is my new personal hero!
I know things can get very bleak very often man, but remember you're not alone. There's a good 60% or so of this country coming to its senses. You're putting that anger and frustration to good use. I applaud your efforts, and mirror your feelings.
I'd like to print out some conscience frog stickers. A little sticker campaign always does the tired soul good.

I'm with Aerythes, the text is too dark for my screen. (but I read it by highlighting the text and I agree)

This is little ray of hope for me right now Chingwa. I was a having a discussion with my overly pessimistic, and to be honest, quite apathetic mother. She holds a very valid view however, that ultimatley we should care for our immediate "own". As in family, and friends. She also rightly stated 'how can I go on about politics when I do nothing for the cause?'. This hit me hard, because ultimatley I'm finding it hard to bridge my work, and my politics. Both which make up my character, opinions about life etc. Have you or anyone else thought about this? Is so, what were your conclusions?
Thanks man. I'm with you all the way//

Thanks guys, this was rather a therapeutic exercise for me. It feels good to get the feelings out somehow ya know. And it feels even better to know I'm not the only one feeling like this and to hear everyone else explaining the way they feel.
I've gone back and lightened the text a bit, so it should be more readable now I hope. I also added a place for people to add comments to the site if they wish (scroll to the link at the bottom).
If anyone is inclined to make stickers (Helium!) or do anything else with the froggy feel free! I may yet do some more more stuff with him myself, but as it says on the site, The conscience frog belongs to everyone... do with him what you will. :D
Kian: I see it more of a problem not to have an opinion on politics, then to have one and do nothing with it. People in general often don't like to spend their time thinking about things they find beyond them, or feel they can have no effect so why bother. I often feel this way. I'm sure your Mom feels you are wasting your time getting so worked up about politics. Sometimes I feel that way too. But regardless of the actions people take, there is no good excuse for people, especially in this day and age, to be apathetic and un-informed... Just my 2 cents.

Bang on! Thats exactly her p.o.v. And when I'm sat here, doing what I love to do almost every day, inside my bubble, being a hypocrite, not really affecting the world, it brings about a feeling as though I don't deserve a political opinon, which I know is absurd, but nonetheless thats the feeling. That, or "politics aren't meant for me, and my immediate community".
Coupled with the fact of whether my opinion will ever do anything, or even mean anything... and on top of that!! whether its actually right!
I try to base any of my opinions on the sole point of 'quality of life', universally.
As I'm sure you can see, my position on this issue is in many places at once. Thus making it hard to formulate anything solid and correct....Which drives me (a control freak) crazy.
