Star Fox Command

Ok, so Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64) was one of my very favourate games on the N64. I have lots of very fond memories of this game, and was excited and let down twice with the 2 Star Fox games on Gamecube.

Anyway, this new Star Fox game on DS really looks like it could act as a true sequal to Lylat Wars, and I am very, very, VERY excited!!
I've watched all the videos and read the reviews of the Japanese version (out now) and I can't bloody wait for this game!
The added online feature is the icing on the cake! Can't wait to battle it out dog fight style!!
The graphics and music are reminisant of the N64 and SNES versions, and it runs at a smooth 30fps. It looks great!

Anyone else planning on getting this game?

Star Fox 64 is one of my favorite games of all time.I try to say to myself that there never were any star fox games on the gamecube.Star fox adventure was an okay adventure but it wasn't "star fox" and Assault was just plain bad.I'm not looking foward to the DS version,I will probably try it but I'm sure I won't buy it...Don't you think the character designs for the new game are really really awful.I can't figure out how a guy got hired to draw these?!

To be honest when are you going to see the characters? a 2d icon when the character speaks. And they look pretty much identical to the N64 ones anyway...

I think the new gameplay will be a nice addition to the usual on the rails shoot em up.
Whatever, to each his own, I'll most definaltey get this. I keep watching the videos and getting more and more excited.

This does look like a great game, though. I did'nt play any of the series since SF64.

Yeah I guess you're right but It's still hard for me to get pass the bad designs.I'm not a big handheld gamer,the only games I have for my DS are Mario64,New super Mario Bros and Kirby.I hope Nintendo can make a great Star fox game for the Wii that would bring the franchise up to par with the Zelda,Mario and Metroid games

I hear (read a review of the Japanese version) the stylus-control works just fine. It looks good...and you mean how all the characters have the huge foreheads?

...Iunno, I thought it was kinda cute. At the very least, it's cool to have a less serious take on Starfox, seeing as I think they want to get away from what they ended up doing with Assault. (Which was take it to the extremes of this 'realistic' style with guns blazing and the whole nine.)
