So.. no talking shit I'll cut right to the case.
I don't like it when people lie, and so it bothers me that when people just signed up here at Ca, say they never drawed/used Ps untill a a month/few months ago. Then you look at they're drawings they're like WOW!
they're amazing, I wonder is it possible to have such hidden talent (and a hidden tablet or other drawing stuff...) or would they be lying.
does anyone agree on this or is it just me going crazy?

Kisses Lise

P.s. I mean not to make any offence to whom ever, I'm just curious.

that's where the no offence comes in. I just happen to sometimes come across it. I won't name anyone that ain't fair towards that person.

Never having drawn and never having used Photoshop are two entirely different things. Someone who already has a background in traditional art can pick up the basics of working digitally in a very short time.
Additonally, there's a big difference between "a month" and "few months," especially when people are first starting. Improvement tends to be very rapid at the beginning, then to level off. Once a basic level of skill has been reached improvement comes much more as a series of jumps and plateaus than as a steady incline.

Definitely, I've seen people (with traditional art experience) who barely understand how a computer works doodling away comfortably in PS or Painter within an hour or two.

You'll still have to show them how to save their files and things, but once they get their heads around the idea that it's a bit like painting on clear acetate, they're away.
