[ I think I saw something like this in an ep. of FUTURAMA or some such... ]

[ Anyhow, it should be a fun one. ]

[ Self-explanatory, I think. ]

Living for generations in a prison, goldfish have had alot of quality thinking time, and while some are content to a life of comfort, others want a revenge. Served cold.
painter, pretty quick, maybe as fast as 20 min.

Thanks dayglow, errm it was meant to be finished but you've convinced me I should give it a another tweak.

@ Hamsta: Thats a cool sketch, I really like the feel of movement you get from the piece.

Spent a couple minutes throwing a quick sketch together yesterday and ended up spending around 2 hours today painting it in Photoshop.

Primordial Flame hmm... don't take this hard, but I'm not really inspired by this sketch, it's not bad, but it's just not very dynamic, or suprising. A few technical problems - the poor fish looks like he has back problems :P the gray outline leftovers are a little distracting.

Behold, the CODPIECE. Sorry, I went over on the time :) The initial sketch took 45 minutes, beginning inks took about 1.5 hours, but since I didn't have a scanner until I got back to the office on Monday, I couldn't resist spending the rest of the weekend adding little details. Color 1 hour photoshop. I really enjoyed this one! Dayglowdave, amazing fish! Sickelsick, I like your concept.

Hmmm Ok I'll try and take that as positive criticism:\ . I see what you mean about the grey bits being distracting thats a fair call, as for finding my pic uninspiring, well each to their own I guess and finally as to the fish, he isnt quite as curved as I'd like and thats something for me to work on but I wasn't really aiming for a realistic fish. Anyway thanks for the response, its not what I would have liked but meh, can win em all ;p

@Sandworm: Dude that is freakin COOL! :jawdrop:

Primordial Flame - like the legs on yours, they really convey a feel of weight to the bowl as well.

dayglowdave - that's amazing ! minor crit about the legs tho, they both appear to be on the front side of the bowl so it looks like a third one should be there on the other side to add some balance or the bowl will fall over ? not picking holes in your work tho, i'm well impressed with the way you painted that - what package do you work in ?

sickelsick - nice sense of motion in yours, i really struggled (and failed !) to convey that, think you got it just right.

sandworm - superb !

Thank you very much Mr. Diggs. I'm afraid I take too much time on them though. I get them done in a day, but since I'm at the office I keep going back to them again and again, so I'm sure it adds up to way more time than everyone else is spending. The goldfish I kept doing little bits over the whole weekend until I get to the scanner, so I'm afraid it's not really fair to everyone else. I am thankful for the practice though, for sure.
