Hey all,

I want to get out my boring town for a bit and at the same time improve my drawing skills. Now, I am sure there are short art crash-courses to be found that would help me get on the right track but I don't know where to start. Thus I thought I'd ask here if anyone here knows a school or similar that would be recommendable to attend. Preferably in an English speaking country.

So, here is a short list of what I am looking for:

Summer/winter school course around 3 months length.
Focus on traditional art, especially drawing and painting.

That's basically all. Thanks in advance for your help.

:)

Well, seeing as how the Fall semester for most schools is about to start up in less than a month and Summer terms are nearly over, you could look into any of the schools listed here...

http://www.aicad.org/

and see what summer programs they offer. You might even want to contact individual schools to see if they offer classes under their Continuing Education section if you're not interested in their degree granting programs.

Good luck!
