hello!! some help for my "soldier of fortune" inspirated painting? I must work on the left arm but do u see another thing?? thanks, Forge

Nice job. As for the left arm I'd tuck it back some, or raise up the arm/elbow and place his hand farther along the pump/barrel of the gun. I can't find anything else glaringly wrong.

For me it's kind of hard to read the shapes of his right leg and his back - you could make better contrasts between shapes wich are tangent. Since you're obiusly not aiming at pure black and white youe got a huge range ov values. Why not use them?

I tried in Photoshop, hope you don't mind, it's just the best way do show directly. The changes I made could be much more subtile, but then you eventually wouldn't notice them at all:

Try being a bit more aggressive with the pose, Forge. Maybe put his right leg a bit further back. Right now it looks like the kick back of the weapon might knock him over.

cool pic. i like the first post of it better than the 2nd. try to imagine where his left shoulder is right now thought. it feels like its been dislocated and is down in his ribs.

really dig the b/w feel to this. keep it up
