Hey all. Name's Brittany, I just joined -- can't believe I'd never heard of this site before! Anyway, I wasn't entirely sure where I should jump in and get my feet wet so I decided to pop in here with a WIP I'm in the middle of at the moment.

A few notes is that there are some conflicting light sources, however there are going to be flames added in after I do some more detailing to ol' Kharn (the big tall mofo) and add some more Berzerkers/Daemons. This is my first real work with my new 4x5 wacom so my style seems to be annoyingly changing/refining the more I do to this work.

This is Warhammer 40k fluff ;)

Sorry if that seems small, photobucket hates me. I can get close ups if wanted/needed. Nice to meet you all and stuff

Welcome to CA Brittany, glad you made it here.

you have good concept & illustration skills.. and general character posture is pretty good. over-all its good work. id only advise that you work on the details a bit more, mmake sure things line up properly and are proportional to character size etc. take the time to get a good solid sketch before rendering anything. this is the foundation everything else follows so if it isnt right when you start rendering, it wont look great when you're finished. i'm mainly refering to the gold straps around the big guy's chest. they look a little flat ;) - JAG

Aw thank you so much. I was actually thinkin the same thing, and am glad to get a second opinion to know I'm not out of my mind. Though they are somewhat rendered, I can work them well enough. It's no problem. I can add a few shadows or some bulk where needed. I'll post more pictures later.
