My first PS - come and cm plzzz !!!

This is my first post and also my first hard work on digital painting. I did it in PS in about 3-4 hours !
I like to know what you think about it. So I can keep trying to get the first nice new one :cheerleader:
I haven't decided what to do with background yet. This things always make me stucked :rolleyes:. I need help anyway :^^:

its a great idea.. definitely need more detail to define the characters and colors would be great. it looks good so far though.. keep at it - JAG

I agree that it's a cool idea and looks to be the start of something exciting. But that's about where it is: the start. Before you go much farther, you should decide where you want the focal point to be. Use contrast, edges, and sharpness to support it. Right now, the two areas with the hardest edges are dominating the field (the snake tongue and ship's rigging). Decide where you want folks to look and work to make that area more interesting.

But It's really hard to decide what'll be the focal point, I'll try my best :D

I agree that it can be tough, but the natural one right now seems to be the snaky lick. That has the most edge support and would serve very well. Unfortunately, the ship on the column of water just isn't helping much. It seems unnatural and a bit of an afterthought. It would help if there was more to support it, like more water, or more columns with ships, or something like that.

at the moment, its still early enough that the focal point can be anything.. just depends on what you decide it will be and how you develop it. so give it a good think before you start on some random thing without a real, solid direction. - JAG
