Wow, very insightful. There's actual fanboys out there on the net, and then there are people labeling people 'fanboys' in a deregatory manner, and then there are wannabe game journalists. I'm glad I read the article, now I know Iwata doesn't fart happy little rainbows and stuff!

Just so you know. I didn't post this to slap anybody in the face, especially nintendo fans. I'm one myself. I just found it interesting.

I'm with Prom on this one. Gee, and here I thought Nintendo WAS an organized, all-loving Buddha. :O
I don't know why people think being all apathetic about brands is so cool. Is it so horribly wrong that I want Nintendo to thrive (I wouldn't so much say 'win',) because they actually have experience in consistently making quality products? And yeah, if they do thrive, I DO get a return. In the form of more quality games I like, and not being stuck with whatever GTA clones everybody else wants to put out.
And, man. This whole, "DON'T BUY IT ON LAUNCH DAY" thing I've been hearing for...a few years now. Am I the only person who sees the error inherent in this thinking? This isn't a philosophy that will 'save you from getting a system that fails,' it's the philosophy that MAKES systems fail. Yeah, by the time the Dreamcast was deemed cheap and good enough for people to buy, it was already in the can.
