torment - it's ceratinly a very painterly image -- which is great. Many start out with works that are purely linear - yours has atmosphere to it. The problems exist mainly in composition. There is a nice focal point (eyes), but the rest of the image does not show the necessary perspective relationships to be a convincing space. It comes off feeling very flat. Here are som easy tricks to remember:

If things are close:
they have sharp edges,
they are more saturated
they have more contrast

if things are far away:
they have soft edges,
they are less saturated
there is less contrast

I hope these tricks help you. Keep working, and you'll find that CA is a great place to get feedback - just don't give up when you get some tough crits.

The perspective is off, I suggest you do
some basics first, etc Perpsective exercises!

However, I can see that you dont handle enviroments right yet, so
try too keep at simple stuff, and make
sure to check out the fine art section! :)
