Hey
Here's new creature I've been fooling around with. The idea actually started out as a super-hero. It's supposed to by somewhat hybridized with a human, hense the (relitively) human face. This was done in Painter. I've worked a lot on just tightening up my style, lately and using less blenders and more fine sketching brushes.
Let me know what you think.

Looks nice. Nice greyscale which does it some nice justice. Influenced by lost in space spider/smith monster or just from your head because it looks nice man ;)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you guys are diggin it. I have some sketches of it that I've made throughout the past couple months, even one in a more human form. I'll post those tomorrow when i get a chance.
I've actually come up with a fairly extensive backstory for it too. It pretty much inhabits the dark, seedy underground life of an unnamed city where it terrifies, tortures and kills the murderers, rapists, terrorists, drug lords and other various and sick badguys. It does so in order to relieve it's own suffering as it carries the pain and burden of the innocent victims within it so they don't have to, hense the blisters, bruises and scars on it's outer skin.
I based it on a moth because I have a wierd phobia of moths. I've had it since i was a kid and have it to this day. You can't tell from this picture, but the wings are even supposed to have huge eye-like spots on them too.
Anyway, thanks again. Expect more soon.

Yeah maybe its the rapid movement of wings in your face that creeps you out. Especialy at ballparks or stadiums with big lights, huge moths often the size of your fist will land on you. Quite terriffying.;) :evilbat: Back to topic, which painter did you use, 7?
