Hi since you want some critisism: The drawings just looks grey and I think that they would gain much if you would do the shadows darker, the highlights even stronger by using an eraser and keep the halftones as they are. Maybe use a softer pencil for the shadows.
I´m just a newbie so if you think I´m full of BS just say so and I will shut my big mouth.

it's hard to tear appart sketches.. these look great, I like the style.. my only complaint is that all the male faces look the same.. i donno if they're the same character or what?
do some non humanoid stuff next time

mindflaw- yeah, i know what youre saying, but they are just sketches so i wasnt too worried about values. even if you are new, dont be scared to say what you think. .and i dont think you are full of bs
darkcult- thanks man
sammy- no, the males are not the same character, i just need to learn to draw people that look different. ive found what you have said to be true in most of my art. maybe i ll work on some more representational portraits to get different facial features in my brain.
ive become increasingly sick of my art lately. looking at all the amazing artists on this thread (and especially the ones younger than me) makes me realize how much i need to learn, and how much i dislike my art at the moment. i really need to start busting my ass and learn
thanks for the comments guys

the concepts and sketches are great. but the shading is kinda flat. maybe you could try cross hatching or multiple hatching instead of the usual one way stroke? have you ever seen an issue of a jap comic, 'the wanderer'(loosely translated, in chinese its "liu lang han")? the shading and rendering of characters in it is gorgeous and have helped me tremendously in improving my skills.

You know about my opinion about your drawings and this style.
Lukias is my god and your drawings extremely remind me of those by Lukias.
What can i say - maybe bit more detail on some of them and more textures/shading.
