OK, back from the con and we watched the Hellgate: London trailer several times at the WETA corner.

Oh.

My.

Each time we turned around after watching it, there were a couple dozen open mouths staring at us, the glazed eyes looking over our heads, still not done watching, even the the screen was blank and the speakers silenced.

It beat every other game related item there and was really only matched by the 300 trailer they showed Saturday morning.

Now can someone please tell us where we can all see it online?

Was it just the same as the E3 trailer?

Yup, those were the two trailers: the male and female templars punching the clock and the accidental overload of demon enema.

I have to say, though, that the large HD screen, the thunderous bass jiggling the DNA in your marrow, and a hundred other slavvering geeks amid a sloshing pool of human-esque queso dip gives the clips an entirely different energy.

You had to wade out of the drool and I'm not sure, but I think someone there may have lost control of their bowels toward the end.

So you saw the actual trailer for 300? I can't wait to see that. I've been looking around and so far all I can find are the short production features. All I can say though, is that from the looks of it they're doing a damn good job of keeping faithful to Frank Miller's original art. The costumes look superb and even the little dimples punched into the Spartan Shields immediately bring to mind Miller's stark splattery inks.

Yeah, at the panel, the director emphasized (repeatedly, and at length) that the only sourcebook was Frank Miller's book (he was also there with the two lead actors).

It was... stunning. All my corpuscles stopped, did a frantic mosh pit thing for several minutes, then grudgingly went about transporting oxygen and such around my system.

I've been following this game also, and it looks like an ass load of fun to play. My only problem with the random generated level thing that some mmo's are going for is that it really takes away from the feeling of having a fully living world. It just seems like in a game where you are supposed to believe you're living and fighting in a reality that the areas you go to should be the same every time.

I know they have their reasons for making it how it is, but for me it does somehow take away from that feeling of exploring and existing in a real place. Does anybody agree with me, or am I just babeling like a teeny tiny baby?

That said, I will play Hellgate, and it looks sexy to boot.
