For anyone getting a website up or redesigning, please, for the love of God, DO NOT:

have immediate music/sound playing. Often it's louder than the CD I'm listening to.. I went to 3 concept artists sites tonight and they had this problem. There was also no way to turn this off other than to skip the intro or go to the main page.

Also, if you abso-fucking-lutely have to use Flash, provide an alternative - all-flash websites are hell on dial-up - and that's also bad design among being inconsiderate.

It's not a huge concern, but it's intrigued me.

Please add: if you have to use Flash, "Chromless" is way way overdone these days, and people (me) get pissed if there's no Close button. I'm really tired of all the splashpages that open a tiny second browser with a little website on it. The people looking at it have at least 800x600 screen res, not 640x480, or whatever the hell it is.
