First off, lense flares and artistic-filtered photographs are evil! So are anthropomorhpic animals, but thats just my opinion. Theres some interesting stuff going on in the details of the house, specifically the windows and woodwork. I would like to see you bring that same level of detail into the boat, the telescope, and the spire that the house is built on. For instance, try to think more about how that engine works. right now its just a magical cylindar with some panels on it. Take a look at real-life engines and try to incorperate some of the details you see on those. For the sake of consistency, draw out your background and color it like the other suff in this piece. putting the pastel filter over a photograph doesn't fool anyone and doesn't help your art. Even if you just traced over the existing photo and colored it, it would look better, although I strongly suggest you develop your own background. Its more fun that way...
