Okay so I recently drew a portrait that turned out just meh. But the eyes were awful, dull and lifeless. So I decided to do an eye study to improve. Here it is, any critiques would be greatly appreciated:

Also is there a good resource online that I can find clear and large pictures of eyes? I want to do more studies. These are my eyes and I'd like to find different shaped eyes to draw.

Ok-These are awesome no doubt! I personally have a family member or freinds stand still ofr a bit-idk about any online places. I dont know what you use as a base sketh-or outline for these-but i love to look at the eye as a sphere with the skin layed onto it. thats helps me alot. These are great tho

These all look pretty solid to me. The only thing I would say is to keep in mind how the eye is constructed. I'm to lazy to draw this my self right now (plus I'm at work and couldn't scan it anyway) so I'm going to post some of Kchen's old class demos.
To repeat: these are not mine, and are property of Kevin Chen. Because they were posted previously on this forum I assume it is alright to repost them, please let me know if you feel otherwise...

The second image shows what I'm concerned with - in it the iris is shown in profile as a cone with the lens as a dome over it. This effects the way light is reflected in the eye. The lense will reflect a nice bright specular like a spherical mirror reflecting an image of the light-source. Because it is trasperent though it will let light go through and bounce of the opposite inside face of the iris - creating a second bright area opposite of the specular... Anyway look at some eyes and you'll get it :teeth:
