I looked everywhere I could think of before asking this, but, is there a way to change your username on ca.org without starting a new account? I'm starting to get work and I just want to change it from my old e-mail name to my real name (Michael Jaecks), which is also going to be the domain name of my website when thats done.

thanks for the help.

You can't change it, but it can be changed. An admin will have to do it for you (if they feel like it :))

Do you know an admin that might be that nice to me?

Be careful what you ask for...I asked once and they renamed me "Embalmed Senile Cat Turd." Cost me $20 and the box of polaroids I took at that CA "business trip" last year...

Well I PMed someone so we'll see what happens. If it gets changed to "Flatulence," blame the red bear. Or bar as the case may be.

it wouldn't kill you to dumb this account and get a new one.

But you can't register a new account with the same email-address. so you'll also have to get a new mail-account. which sucks, i think.

that's what mail forwarding is for.

Doesn't safe me the work of creating a new mail-address, does it?

it does save you from incuring the ire of an admin irritated by pointless requests.

if an admin's reading this, while you're at it, can you change my name to DARKRAV3N_DAM0NWARR10RZ_34? Exo is only three letters and now that I think about it, it doesn't sound baddass at all.

I thought my name was ok, until I went to the workshop. Having a one syllable name sucks. I constantly was wondering if someone was addressing me, or was just coughing or something.

Oh well. Can't win em' all. My previous user name was shared by another non-CA web artist who draws ELF PORN.

How do you even say it? I look at it and want to pronounce it as "Ryan". Or is it more like "Rin"?

lol what is with some of you people. You've only got like 300 posts at the most and you already want your name changed? lol that's the sort of thing that pisses them off and why most messageboards don't give name changes. Once on person wants it changed then everyone does.

I just want mine changed to reflect the kinds of work I'll be doing from here on out. I'll still use Saikin on other forums and Kidd175 for some as well, it's just that this isn't the forum for those names. So, Jester reflects my personality and art style that will soon develop in the next 15 years

"Rin", you got it. Though a lot of people just end up mis-reading it and saying "Ryan" anyway.

... what does the username matter anyways? People will like your work (or not), whatever name's associated with it.. even if you're "WarmAirThatStinks" (or maybe especially if you're..)

who cares..

we should all just be renamed to Anonymous Artist followed by a string of cryptic numbers behind. who cares for individuality!

speaking of usernames. It's hilarious when I try explaining the workshop trip to my friends, "what, his NAME is Romance?"

Zebz
September 15th, 2006, 05:23 PM
Try being ZebzFree... it doesn't even mean anything. When I was in Montreal everyone was asking what it meant... nothing... not as cool as a Guggenmanuver, eh? :o) We all know what that is! Well... I do now anyway...

I've been thinking of changing my username to just Zebz... that's what everyone calls me anyhow. But I'll admit... having a group of friends that call me by a fake name really makes me look like a dork to all my other friends who have no idea about this online stuff. lol

September 16th, 2006, 10:54 AM
most people(?) think carnifex comes from warhammer but I've never played the game(but i plan on purchasing "mark of chaos" when it comes out). i still love the name. especially after the last workshop i'd never change it ;)

Maybe changing your name is like getting a new life? Or maybe if you get the name of a famous person, like Android, you get his talent with it?

It's a cannibal thing in fact! Don't trust them!
