I took some time to write up an article about formal art school training. I'd paste it here but I'm still editing, so I'm providing a link to my site version which will be updated as I edit. This is much more applicable to US schools, which is where I have the most experience so far. This is also majorly addressing people interested in 3d art, but I believe has parallels in the more traditional world as well. Comments, suggestions, input, flames etc are all welcomed but I reserve the right to ignore or follow them as I see fit. :-)

Thanks ben =)

*just as a note

Ringling I believe is starting a Game design major? Not sure if this is included in your 'school business' thing, (though I agree with you), I just wanted to point it out in case you hadn't heard =)

Actually, also, what about Art Center's Entertainment design program-

Not trying to nit pick, I just like to inquire =) Hope I don't sound rude or arrogant
