Alright, so my "dad" wants me to do several works for him, penciled first before he decides if he wants them coloured.
First, he wants a Wizard. He prefers the older styed ones. Conical hat, open robe with designs and several underrobes, intricate staff. All that jazz.
Problem is I really have no idea of how to go about putting this on paper. *grins* And so I come to you for advice.

Second is basically the same problem, he wants me to draw an "Elven Warrior" using this: ---Gil-Galad action figure--- (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/Cheesypete/DSCN4400.jpg) As a reference... Well, you know how posable action figures are. (Not very, with all that plastic clothing in the way) ... I'm wondering how to get a good pose from this.. (I've more experience doing portraits, not whole body works.)
Many thanks,
Pete

It seems like you are asking how to drow, or....? :nohope:
1: You should find reference pictures for classical wizard pretty easy, i'm sure they'll help you to think up something.
2: For that Elfguy : just do what you do every time when drawing from "nature", compose it well and find the right proportions, that's all. ..duh..
