I am currently on the "war of souls" and so far the book has gone by quite well. i just love how weis and hickman collaborate to create such a wonderful concept//story overall. are there any other dragon lance book readers out there? i would be sure there would be some on this site, since dragonlance is very descriptive and interesting. i just love it overall. please leave comments [ positive or negative ] on the book overall.
thx

I haven't read anything recent, though I used to read Dragon Lance novels years ago.
I met Margaret Weis at last year's Comic-Con. She signed my Legends series books as well as a few others. I got to chat with her for almost half an hour, mostly about writing. That was the cool part.
I was planning on meeting Trace afterward. Margaret pointed out how it just wouldn't be right to have only one of them sign. She jinxed me. I missed out. Sucks.

Well you can look forward to an animated movie of 'Dragons of Autumn Twilight' release in 2007.
Just finishing it up...again...haven't read it in years..but it's what got me hooked on the whole fantasy scene to begin with ages ago.

Very long time ago - I loved those books, the first three trilogies including tales...
Read the Death Gate Cycle by the same authors.
And I used to love Elmore's illustrations - now I cant stand them anymore...go figure

Matt Stawicki does the illustrations for most of the dragonlance books now and days. but im currenly on Dragons of a Fallen Sun. and i sure am loving it. i have all 3 books of the "war of souls" this is pretty much my favorite "volumes" of the dragonlance series so far. but i love it. im a happy camper. and yet. all my muscles are extremely sore *sighs*.

I read a ton of these when a was a fairly young lad and rather enjoyed them. Although I went back and tried to read one recently at the recommendation of my friend andc honestly I was a little suprised by how lame it was. Having read quite a few Sci-Fi and fantasy books, these seem contrived and clumsy when compared to authors like Tad Williams, Michael Moorcock and some of these other guys. I dunno, they had some cool art, decent plot twists and interesting characters, but ultimatly are pretty weakly written. I would recommend Terry Brook's Shanarra series and some others more highly then these.
